Seguin HVAC
HVAC Service in Seguin, Texas
What to expect when you call
Seguin is about 40 miles east of our shop on Blanco Rd, which usually means 40 to 50 minutes: down to Loop 410, east on I-10, and off at one of the Seguin exits. Traffic on that stretch is generally kind outside of the afternoon backup around the 1604 interchange. We dispatch 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so a no-cool call on a Sunday afternoon in August still gets a technician rolling, and heat failures during a Guadalupe County cold snap get the same treatment. Scheduled work typically lands same day or first thing the next morning. Since the drive is long enough that a second trip costs real time, our trucks carry the parts that fail most often so the majority of repairs finish on the first visit.
The housing stock here is unusually mixed
Few places we serve have a wider spread of construction. The older neighborhoods near downtown and around the historic district include pier-and-beam houses built long before central air existed. Cooling was added later, often as a retrofit with duct squeezed into a crawlspace or a converted closet, and those systems suffer from moisture under the floor, duct that has separated at the joints, and insulation that critters have shredded. In houses where running proper duct never made sense, ductless mini-split systems solve a comfort problem that a conventional replacement never will, and we will tell you when that is the better route.
Then there is everything built since: 1960s and 70s ranch homes with add-on central systems now on their third condenser, and the newer subdivisions out toward Navarro and Highway 46 whose builder-grade equipment is aging into its first major repairs. The setting matters too. This is farming country, and hay cutting, pecan season, and dry field dust load filters and pack condenser coils faster than in town. The river valley holds humidity, so an oversized system that short-cycles will cool the air without ever pulling moisture out of it, leaving a house that feels clammy at 74 degrees. We measure rather than guess before recommending equipment.
